Reclaim. Renew. Rise
A healing retreat for people affected by breast cancer. Cultivating connection, renewal, and self care.
Santa Cruz, CA Oct 22nd-25th 2026
RISE is a deeply supportive healing retreat for people affected by breast cancer — a place to rest, be witnessed, and remember who you are beyond diagnosis, treatment, and survival. Together in community, we move, cry, laugh, rage, breathe, and reconnect to the parts of ourselves that may have been lost along the way.

What You Can Expect at Rise
Rise is designed to be a deeply supportive and restorative experience — held in a beautiful, nature-immersive setting with cozy, comfortable accommodations and nourishing meals prepared with care to support your body and healing.
Throughout our time together, we’ll move through a thoughtfully paced schedule that balances workshops, movement, ceremony, and spacious free time so your nervous system has room to integrate what unfolds.
You’ll be part of a small, carefully curated group, allowing for meaningful connection, depth, and safety within the container.
Our facilitation is gentle and trauma-informed, honoring that everyone arrives with their own story, pace, and capacity. You won’t be rushed or pushed into anything you’re not ready for. Instead, you’ll be invited to listen to your body and move at the pace your heart is ready for.
Practices & Experiences You May Encounter
Each Rise retreat unfolds organically, but some of the practices woven into our time together may include:
Gentle Movement & Yoga
Accessible, trauma-informed movement practices designed to help you reconnect with your body and release stored tension.
Breathwork & Nervous System Regulation
Simple yet powerful tools to calm your nervous system, regulate emotions, and reconnect with the steady rhythm of your breath.
Somatic Emotional Release & Sacred Rage
Guided practices that create safe space to express emotions like anger, grief, frustration, and fear — allowing them to move through your body rather than remain held within it.
Sharing Circles & Story Medicine
Sacred circles where you can speak your truth and be witnessed by others who truly understand — without needing to fix, perform, or stay “strong.”
Ritual & Ceremony
Heart-centered rituals that honor your journey — including your scars, your losses, your resilience, and the woman you are becoming.
Rest & Integration
Time to nap, journal, relax in the hot tub, wander in nature, or simply be.
Rest is not separate from the work — it is part of the medicine.
What Women Are Saying About Rise
Facilitators
Michelle Bradley
I have been working in the field of health and wellness as an exercise physiologist and health coach for over 20 years. I teach yoga, meditation, and breath work. I’m inspired by the opportunity to meet unique needs of my clients. We joyfully work together to integrate the mind body connection and guide each session with authenticity, embracing a healthy lifestyle and living with vitality.
My personal journey with breast cancer was one of the most challenging experiences of my life but looking back I can also see all the amazing gifts that came my way. I learned to trust, to feel, to let go and to appreciate how miraculous life can be.
Hosting this retreat is an expression of love and a desire to connect with those who understand and want to feel authentically, play with abandon and savor all that life has to offer. So let’s Rise!
Hannah Brame
I’m a registered nurse, dedicated mother and passionate community connector in Santa Cruz, CA. I combine my medical expertise with deep commitment to holistic wellness, fostering community and empowering others on their health journeys.
When I’m not working as a nurse or caring for my family, I am an integral part of an amazing community group I co-created with some dear friends called Vita Collective. Together, we host monthly women’s gatherings, workshops, talks and retreat, all designed to foster connection, growth and well-being. With a deep passion for bringing women together, I thrive as a connector, curating spaces where holistic health, wellness and self care take center state.
In March 2023, I was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer (ductal carcinoma) and discovered I carry the BRCA1 genetic mutation. the journey that followed was nothing short of intense - chemotherapy, multiple surgeries, and a deep commitment to holistic healing. It’s been a transformative few years, filled with challenges, growth, and unwavering support. Today I am beyond grateful to say: I am cancer free. This experience has shaped me in ways I never imagined and I carry forward a renewed sense of purpose, gratitude and dedication to wellness.
Dr. Kallie Harrison
I am a multi-disciplinary healer and space holder with more than 20 years of experience spanning acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, nursing, massage therapy, and psychedelic integration work. My practice blends Eastern medicine, Western clinical knowledge, somatic release, energy work, and trauma-informed emotional processing to support whole-person transformation.
For the past four years, I’ve been devoted to the study and embodiment of Tantra and the ISTA lineage. This path has reshaped the way I live, love, and lead—teaching me how to hold deep emotional containers, work with shadow material, and guide others into the truth of their bodies and their desires.
My personal healing journey is woven into all that I teach. In 2022, I was diagnosed with DCIS, which led me to choose a double mastectomy and live proudly flat. This initiation cracked me open to a deeper truth: healing is not just physical—it is spiritual, emotional, wild, messy, sacred, and fully embodied. My scars became part of my medicine. Today, I advocate for body sovereignty, the normalization of going flat, and empowering women to choose what feels right for them—not what society prescribes.
I believe in the cyclical nature of womanhood—the seasons of expansion, contraction, shedding, rebirth, intuition, rage, softness, and power. My intention at Rise Retreat 2026 is to help every woman remember her wholeness, reconnect with her inner wisdom, and reclaim the parts of herself she was never meant to abandon.
